Chrysler may develop a unibody small pickup positioned below the Dakota, whose production will end in 2011. "We're thinking of something that will separate itself from the full-sized truck more than what happens today, both in capability, price and size," said Joe Veltri, Chrysler Group vice president of product planning. BMW 7 Series update
Three years after its debut BMW has announced the mid-life revision of the 7 Series, due for launch in spring 2005. The update includes exterior styling enhancements, interior fine-tuning, dynamic developments and a range of new engines. From the front, there is a new headlamp and bumper design, changes to the kidney grilles and enhancement of the power dome on the hood to give the car a more powerful face.

Land speed record holders Andy Green and Richard Noble are teaming up set a new land speed record, they announced today. The pair are preparing to break through the 1000mph barrier for the first time, 12 years after they set today's 763mph record. The two speed specialists today launch the Bloodhound Project – which will sire a 6.4-tonne supersonic car.
